Delivery and timing

Is it too late to get a porta potty for tomorrow?

It is not too late. Next-day delivery is the normal schedule, and orders placed by 5 PM are routed for the next day, Monday through Saturday.

Can you deliver a porta potty today?

Same-day delivery is available in Lincoln when you call by 1 PM, Monday through Saturday. Towns 30 to 60 miles out need the call by 11 AM, and towns 60 to 80 miles out by 9 AM.

Our event starts at 5 PM tonight. Can the unit be there in time?

A unit can usually be there by mid-afternoon in Lincoln when you call before noon. Call right away so the driver can be routed to you first.

What is the earliest you can deliver?

Trucks leave our Lincoln yard at 7 AM. Next-day orders can request a morning window, and the first stops of the day are usually done by 10 AM.

Do you deliver on Saturday?

Saturday delivery and pickup are available. Sunday is closed.

Do you deliver on Sunday?

Sunday delivery is not available. Sunday events are delivered Friday or Saturday and picked up Monday at no extra charge.

Do you deliver over holiday weekends like Memorial Day or Labor Day?

Holiday weekends are served. Units for a holiday weekend are delivered the business day before and picked up the business day after the holiday. Book a week ahead, because holiday weekends sell out.

My party is Saturday. When will you drop off and pick up?

A Saturday party gets a Friday drop-off and a Monday pickup. The extra days are free because the price covers 1 to 5 days.

Can I get an exact delivery time?

Routes are built each morning, so we give a window, not an exact minute. The driver calls about 30 minutes before arriving. Next-day orders can request a morning window.

Will the driver call before arriving?

The driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arriving, then texts a photo after the unit is placed.

Do I need to be there for the delivery?

You do not need to be there. Mark the spot with a cone, flag or chalk X, or text a photo with the spot circled.

How far ahead should I book?

Book 2 to 3 days ahead for most rentals. Book 1 to 2 weeks ahead for May and June graduation weekends and holiday weekends, and 4 to 8 weeks ahead for restroom trailers.

Can I book now and change the date later?

Dates can be changed for free up to 24 hours before delivery.

Our usual porta potty company did not show up. Can you get one out today?

A no-show replacement is a common same-day call. In Lincoln, call by 1 PM with the address and crew size and a unit can usually be on site that afternoon.

Price and billing

How much does it cost to rent a porta potty?

A standard porta potty in Lincoln usually costs $165 to $225 for a 1-to-5-day event, with delivery and pickup in Lincoln included, or $145 to $195 per 28 days for a job site with weekly service plus a one-time delivery fee. See the cost guide.

How much for just one day or a couple of hours?

A one-day rental costs the same as the 1-to-5-day event price, $165 to $225 for a standard unit in Lincoln. Porta potties are not rented by the hour, because the truck trip is the same either way.

Is the price per day or for the whole weekend?

The event price covers the whole weekend. One flat price covers 1 to 5 days, including a Friday drop-off and Monday pickup.

Does the price include delivery and pickup?

Event rentals inside Lincoln include delivery and pickup. Job site rentals pay a one-time delivery fee, and pickup is included. Towns outside Lincoln add a distance fee on the quote.

Is there a separate pickup or removal fee?

There is no separate pickup or removal fee. Pickup is part of every rental.

Is there a rush or same-day fee?

Same-day delivery in Lincoln usually has no extra fee when you call by 1 PM. Towns farther out may have a same-day fee of up to $75, shown on the quote.

Are there fuel surcharges or card processing fees?

Our quotes add no fuel surcharge or card processing fee. Sales tax is the only line added to the rental price, and it is shown on the quote.

What is the total out the door?

Your itemized quote shows the total out the door: unit, delivery, pickup, service, any same-day fee and tax. That total is what you pay.

If I only need it for three days, am I charged for a month?

A three-day need is billed at the event price, not a monthly price. Monthly billing applies only to rentals longer than 5 days.

How does the 28-day billing cycle work?

Long rentals bill every 28 days from the delivery date. The first invoice includes the delivery fee. Later invoices are the rental rate only. Billing stops the day you call for pickup.

Do you have a weekly rate?

A rental of 6 to 28 days is billed as one 28-day cycle with weekly service. For one week of light use, ask about the event price instead.

Do you give discounts for churches, nonprofits or several units?

Each extra unit at the same address costs less than the first. Churches, schools and nonprofits with a Nebraska exemption certificate pay no sales tax.

Is there a price list I can see without calling?

Typical price ranges for every unit are published on our porta potty cost guide. Your exact price comes on an itemized quote by text or email.

Is a unit with a sink cheaper than a separate hand-washing station?

A separate hand-washing station usually costs less than upgrading to a deluxe unit with a sink, and two people can wash at once. A deluxe unit makes sense when guests want a flush too.

Is there a price difference between event units and construction units?

Event units are priced per event (1–5 days). Construction units are priced per 28 days with weekly service. The unit itself is the same clean, stocked standard unit.

Why is my invoice different from my quote?

An invoice only differs from your approved quote when units, days or service visits were added. Call and we will walk through each line.

Cleaning and service

Is cleaning included?

Every unit arrives cleaned and stocked. Rentals longer than a week include weekly service at no extra charge.

How often do you service it?

Long-term units are serviced once a week on a set weekday. Busy sites can add a second visit.

What happens during a service visit?

The driver pumps the waste tank, scrubs the seat, walls and floor, adds fresh deodorizer, restocks toilet paper and sanitizer, and checks the door and latch.

Is the unit serviced during my weekend event?

A one-day or weekend event unit is not serviced during the event; it is sized so it does not need it. Multi-day events can add a mid-event visit.

Do I have to schedule each service visit?

Weekly visits run automatically on your service day. You only call to add, skip or move a visit.

Nobody will be on site on service day. Is that a problem?

Nobody needs to be on site. Leave a gate code or unlock the gate, and the driver services the unit and leaves a service tag.

Our job site is barely used. Can we reduce service?

A lightly used unit can switch to service every other week, which lowers the rate.

Does it come with toilet paper and sanitizer?

Every unit comes with toilet paper and hand sanitizer, restocked at each service visit.

Units and equipment

What is the difference between standard, deluxe and flushing units?

A standard unit has a seat, a urinal and sanitizer. A deluxe flushing unit adds a foot-pump flush, a sink with soap and a mirror. Compare them on the unit comparison page.

Does the porta potty have a sink?

A standard porta potty has hand sanitizer, not a sink. Deluxe flushing units have a sink inside, and hand-washing stations sit outside.

Do you have wheelchair-accessible (ADA) units?

Wheelchair-accessible units are available with a ground-level floor, a wide door, grab bars and a 60-inch turning space. See ADA and handicap porta potties.

Is there a difference between handicap and ADA porta potties?

In everyday use, handicap and ADA porta potties mean the same wheelchair-accessible unit. The 2010 ADA Standards set how many a public event needs: 5% of each cluster, at least 1.

Does the accessible unit have a ramp?

Our accessible units have a ground-level floor, so no ramp is needed. The unit must sit on a level, hard surface.

Do you have restroom trailers?

Restroom trailers with flushing toilets, sinks, lights and climate control are available for weddings and events. They need a garden hose and a 110-volt outlet.

What does a restroom trailer need?

A restroom trailer needs level ground, a garden hose spigot and a standard 110-volt outlet within about 100 feet, plus a firm path for the tow truck.

Does a standard unit have both a seat and a urinal?

A standard unit has a toilet seat and a separate wall urinal.

Can I see photos of the units?

Photos of every unit are on the porta potty rentals page and each unit page.

Do you sell porta potties?

We rent units only and do not sell them.

Do you pump out porta potties I own or RV tanks?

Our trucks service the units we rent. Call to ask whether a pump-out of a customer-owned unit or RV tank fits our route that week.

How many units

How many porta potties do I need for 50 guests?

Fifty guests need 1 standard porta potty for up to 4 hours, or 2 for longer events or when alcohol is served.

How many porta potties for 100 guests?

One hundred guests need 2 standard porta potties for up to 4 hours and 3 for 5 to 8 hours. Add 1 if alcohol is served.

Should I get two units or one unit plus a hand-washing station?

For 50 guests or fewer with food, 1 unit plus a hand-washing station is the better choice. For more than 50 guests, rent 2 units and add a station.

Can I add a unit later if more people RSVP?

Units can be added up to the day before delivery, and the same day in Lincoln when you call by 1 PM.

How many porta potties does a construction crew need?

Under OSHA Table D-1, a crew of 20 or fewer needs 1 unit, and crews of 20 to 199 need 1 seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers. Use the calculator.

Can I mix unit types?

Mixed orders are common, such as 3 standard units plus 1 accessible unit, or 1 deluxe unit plus 2 standard units.

Placement and permits

Where can the porta potty go?

A porta potty can go on a driveway, side yard, backyard or job site with a flat, firm 5 × 5 ft spot that the truck can reach within about 25 feet.

Can you get it into my backyard through a gate?

A standard unit is about 44 inches wide, so it fits through a gate 48 inches or wider. Narrower gates mean a driveway or side-yard spot.

How far from the truck can the unit be?

The unit should be within about 25 feet of where the truck can park, so the hose can reach it for pumping.

Can I move it myself after delivery?

Please do not move a unit yourself. A full unit can tip and spill. Call, and the driver will pump and move it.

Does it need to be on flat ground?

The unit needs near-level ground. A slight slope is fine; a steep one can tip it or keep the door from closing.

Can it go on concrete or in a parking lot?

A unit can sit on concrete, asphalt or gravel. Hard surfaces are the best choice.

How should I mark the spot?

Mark the spot with a cone, flag, tape or chalk X, or text a photo or an aerial screenshot with the spot circled.

Our site has no street address. What do I send?

Send a GPS pin from your phone, or the lot and block number with the nearest cross street.

We have a gate code. Where do I give it?

Give the gate code when you book. It goes on the driver's work order.

Does it need water or power?

Standard, deluxe and accessible units and hand-washing stations need no water or power. Only restroom trailers need a hose and an outlet.

Do I need a permit for a porta potty in Lincoln?

A unit on private property needs no permit in Lincoln. A unit in a street, sidewalk or alley needs a right-of-way permit from Lincoln Transportation and Utilities.

Will my HOA allow a porta potty?

Most HOAs allow a porta potty during construction or for a weekend event, often beside the garage or behind the house. Check your covenants.

Rental length and pickup

How long can I keep it?

You can keep a unit as long as you need, from one day to more than a year.

Can I extend if the project runs long?

Extensions take one call or text. Nothing new to sign.

Do you pick it up automatically?

Event units are picked up automatically on the scheduled day. Job site and long-term units stay until you call or text for pickup.

How soon after I call will it be picked up?

Pickup happens within 2 business days of your call, and billing stops the day you call.

When is pickup after a weekend event?

Weekend event units are picked up Monday, or Tuesday after a Monday holiday.

Can I pause a rental and restart later?

A unit can be picked up and redelivered later. Each redelivery has its own delivery fee, so a short pause is often cheaper to keep.

Payment and booking

Do I have to pay up front?

Event rentals are paid by card when you book. Long-term rentals are billed every 28 days. Approved business accounts can be invoiced.

What payment do you take?

We take all major credit and debit cards, and checks or ACH from approved business accounts.

Can my company be invoiced?

Companies can apply for an invoiced account. Approval usually takes 1 to 2 business days, and same-day delivery can be paid by card in the meantime.

Someone else is paying. How does that work?

Give us the payer's email or phone and we send the quote to them. The rental is booked once they approve and pay.

Can you text or email me a quote?

Every quote is sent by text or email, itemized, so you can forward it for approval.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel for free up to 24 hours before delivery. Inside 24 hours, a trip fee may apply if the truck is already routed. See rental terms.

Damage, security and weather

What if someone vandalizes the unit?

Normal wear is on us. Damage from vandalism, fire or tipping on purpose is billed at repair cost. A free lock and a spot in view of the house or street lower the risk.

Can I put a lock on it?

A free hasp lock is available on request. Leave it unlocked on pickup and service days.

Who is responsible if the truck damages my lawn or driveway?

The driver stays on hard surfaces when possible. Tell us about soft ground, sprinkler heads or new concrete when you book so the driver can plan around them.

Can a porta potty blow over?

A unit on open ground can tip in strong wind. Ask for stakes or straps, and place it beside a building or fence when you can.

Do porta potties work in winter?

Porta potties work all winter. From November to March, the tank gets a non-toxic antifreeze mix at each service. See winter tips.
